This will be my new favorite cool lunch spot in the south suburbs. A very nice, quaint coffee shop with good people and good conversation. The sandwiches and homemade soups are fantastic and the coffee is some of the best I've had, another south suburbs gem. You guys are doing a wonderful job, don't change a thing. ..... I'll be back tomorrow morning. ..lol

The were 5 of us that showed up first time. They have a pianist. Can you believe it? Cute little place. Reminds me of Milwaukee. Unlike anything you'd expect to find in the south burbs. Nice folks. Very accommodating. Seats about 20 at one time. Menu is non traditional. But you can get served anything you want most anytime of day. All freshly made. Coffee, gifts and more.

My husband and I each had a breakfast sandwich and 2 16oz cups of coffee, all for $7.87! The turkey on my husband's sandwich was sliced right off of a bigger piece, none of that processed junk. It tasted just like it was made in my own kitchen. The people are so friendly! We're so happy we found this place!

The coffee was great! The food was great! The people who work there are very, very friendly! They made my wife and I feel right at home. We both thought we'd come back again and again!!

Best find during my trip to the Chicago area - Thank you Yelpsters. Coffee is amazing - true coffee flavor not just a dark or light roast. Very affordable as well. We had two coffee's, a hot tea and two PB cookies (gluten free) for under $7 - take that big name coffee houses. The staff were very friendly as well. If you ever want to relocate this gem to NW Houston, you will have one daily customer for sure. Note: Location is next to the train overpass - you could drive by and miss it if not familiar with the area.

Lived here my whole life, decided to finally stop by. Awesome little gem in Richton Park. Who knew?

Great little coffee house with an excellent basic breakfast. I had a large decaf, 2 eggs over easy, home fries, bacon and a decent size bowl of fruit for under 8 bucks. Sweet couple that owns the place, I will go back for sure while I'm here in Chicago. They also have breakfast sandwiched and homemade soups. .. Be sure to tell them is your first time for a nice surprise!

I love this place mostly because of it's small business and community feel. The staff are personable and friendly. The various coffee flavors area great and the food is excellent. Try the waffle special on Saturdays and the grilled cheese any day. Don't miss this place if you're in the South Suburbs!

Richton Perk Coffee Shop is a true gem... Hands down my favorite coffee shop period!! Start each day with my Italian Roast which is always brewed perfectly. Owners, Suz and Pete are so very welcoming and so are their customers...esp Wayne. :) Saturday morning waffles are an added bonus. A fan for life!!

Also best fast breakfast and lunch place. I am not a coffee person but I run in for a fruit cup, or a sweet roll, or a omelet on a bagel or an egg on a croissant etc and great bacon. For lunch I love their kosher hot dogs, homemade soups and chili and on the weekends I get waffles and whatever Pete has on the grill. Its a place to meet and make friends and the movie nights are so much fun.

Their rotating coffee flavors always tastes good and lifts my mood. The soups are amazing and so are the cakes...especially the bourbon cake. A nice before work trip.

If you want a good cuppa joe from friendly people, head to Richton Perk. A super cute little coffee shop that also offers lots of little gift-type things for sale. Their homemade sandwiches and soup hit the spot and the apple cake is so popular that you can now order a whole one! They carry Zarlengo's gelato, too. Recently addded homemade Belgian waffles to the Saturday menu. Light and delicious and smothered in fruit. Yum!

This is the best coffee shop by far in a 30 mile radius! They get their roasted coffee beans freshly roasted, then shipped overnight. All foods are homemade and the soups are to die for! Not to mention their bakery items. I would pay 3 times what they ask for especially for their chocolate mint brownie (chocolatey , minty with the perfect gooiness.) Their breakfast and lunch items totally rock. The ambiance and the locals make for a great hang as well. To top it all off, the owners Pete and Sue are tremendously friendly. When you go, make sure to let them know it's your first time there.

As far as coffee/tea houses go, this one is as quaint and charming as they come. If you want to sit for hours and work on your computer, go to a Starbucks. But if you want to have a great cup of coffee or tea and a really nice conversation then this is the place to go. I had a cup of tea and I really liked that they charged the same price for all their sizes. You won't find that at Starbucks or most other coffee places. I also got a chicken noodle soup which was really good. If I lived in the area, I'd probably be at this place every day.

Very charming coffee shop. Food, soup, coffee, and tea are great. Chairs aren't too comfortable and not a lot of heat in the winter. Some, but not all tables are near plugs for laptops. Not really set up for long-term stay to work with laptops, but probably isn't the target market. Glad I came.

Located in a historic home near a passenger railroad station (Metra - Richton Park stop) Richton Perk is one of my favorite local places to hang out. Watch their website for special events taking place. I recommend Richton Perk highly!

Best place in the area to relax and drink some coffee with good food. The owner was wonderful, he told us the history of his business and all of his plans for the future, how much he cares for every customer that comes in, you should ask him about the personal coffee cups. I really enjoyed his spirit and genuine character. I can't wait to come back and see his ideas come to form.

Great coffee, great decor!

Great to see that this historical property was renovated and is being used as an independent coffee shop. Pete is an attentive owner and I enjoyed talking with him about the business. A diamond in the rough.
